Goals & Objectives

Our core program involves planting trees in multiple, diverse farms of different acreages in various parts of Kenya as an initiative by Kenyan students and youth. We, as the implementers, host this program that will accrue real benefits to the students, youth and Kenya as a whole. It is intended to operate in the long term and earn the country crucial carbon credits through individual and group tree planting and reforestation.

The program's goal is to gradually reforest Kenya, supply or supplement her needs for tree resources and contribute towards reduction of global warming; thereby earning Kenya carbon credits.

This project has multiple beneficial objectives for students, youths and Kenya as a whole. These include to: -

1. Instill a culture of environmental care and conservation among Kenyan students and youths while they are still energetic and in their formative years.


2. Fight global warming using trees as they consume and reduce some green house gases.
3. Supply or supplement Kenya’s needs for trees resources (including energy needs) in various regions.


4. Unite students and build strong cross-ethnic teams among students in Kenya. This will be good for Kenya and the environment.


5. Introduce and fund a kitty to help needy students with money for such purposes as tuition and books.


6. Undertake social good arising from the returns of mature trees sold or used to provide for needs of the students, schools and the society.


7. Enable Trees for Life International fund the project into various parts of Kenya; after the initial donor funding.


8. Be an example to and role model for other organizations and countries around the globe. The heavy emitters / industrialized countries can emulate this example.


9. Establish provincial branch offices in Kenya to coordinate tree planting among the youth age-set.
